# Email recipe **Read first:** `brand/verbal/voice-and-tone.md` (Email: human, brief, warm; no interference needed). ## Principles - It's from Matt, so write in the first person, "I". - **Short.** 3–6 sentences in the body. One clear ask. - Specific to the recipient: reference their company, their problem, or what they said. - No brand theatrics. The interference budget for a 1:1 email is zero. Confidence and clarity carry it. ## Intro / network outreach > Subject: [Company]'s brand > > Hi [Name], > > [One specific observation about their company or category.] I started Meddle to help challengers like [Company] [specific outcome: grow deposits / explain a complex product / look as good as the work]. > > Would a 30-minute intro call be useful? No pitch deck, just a conversation about where the brand is holding you back. > > Matt ## After the intro call > Subject: Next step: Discovery Workshop > > Thanks for the time today, [Name]. What I heard: [their problem in their words]. > > The next step is a 90-minute Discovery Workshop, where we'll dig into the business, the audience, and the goals. From there, I'll send a proposal with a clear scope, timeline, and one price. > > Does [two options] work? ## Proposal send > Subject: Proposal: [Engagement name] > > [Name], the proposal is attached. The short version: [scope in one line], [timeline], [investment]. > > Happy to walk through it live. Once you're ready, it's a signature and deposit to lock in the kickoff date. ## Signature ``` Matt Bacon Founder & Creative Director, Meddle meddle.studio ``` Plain text, or the small wordmark (`meddle-wordmark-sm.svg` exported to PNG at 2×, 30px tall).
